Itinerary
We begin our tour with pickup from your hotel or lulagres surrounding the main square of Arequipa, then we head to the southeast of the city. Our first stop will be to observe a unique and rarely seen perspective of the tutelary volcanoes of Arequipa with the Pre Inca terraces of Chiguata on its slopes.
We continue to the town of Chiguata where we will stop to visit the Church of EspĆritu Santo and have a local breakfast.
We will stop at the entrance to the Salinas and Aguada Blanca National Reserve. Here we will observe flora such as the Yareta, used as a fuel source in ancient times and the Tola, very common in the high and desert areas of the south of the continent.
We arrive at the majestic Salinas Lagoon. Here we will have time to capture the famous photographs in the reflecting pools and sightings of local fauna such as llamas and vicuƱas or flamingos in the area.
We continue our way through the town of Salinas until we reach the Lojen Mini Volcano where we can relax in the rustic Lojen hot springs.
The Salinas Lagoon is a shallow-water salt flat located within the limits of the Salinas and Aguada Blanca National Reserve.
