Itinerary
This tour starts from your hotel pick-up around 8:30 to 09:00 a.m. Then we will depart by bus to the south of Cusco, during this journey we will be able to observe beautiful landscapes. The first stop will be the archaeological center of Tipón, an Inca ceremonial center where the flow of water from the high peaks of the Pachatusan hill to the lowlands of the valley was controlled through a stone channel. Later we will visit the Archaeological complex of Pikillacta which means “city of fleas”. It is an old walled citadel of the Wari Empire, which was one of the most important regional centers of the Wari Culture in its expansion towards the city of Cusco.
Then we will continue our journey visiting the beautiful Church of Andahuaylillas, a small jewel of the Colonial period, also known as ‘The Sistine of America’, inside which there is an impressive collection of Canvases with frames bathed in gold leaf and mural paintings, baroque altarpieces , and more. Likewise we can appreciate the famous pentalingual door. To finally conclude with our tour in the Huasao Wetlands, known for being a recreational center, where they house various wooden sculptures with fictitious images and for housing various species of flora and fauna.
